Never Forget lasted 24 years.
Islamists flew planes into New York and murdered 3,000 people. The city swore Never Again. Never forget the firefighters. Never forget the jumpers. Never forget the pile.
Then New York elected Mamdani.
The same city that buried its dead now has a mayor who posed with an unindicted co-conspirator from the first World Trade Center bombing, skipped the 1993 memorial, and handed the ceremonial 9/11 pen to a lawyer who represented an al-Qaeda operative tied to a hijacker.
Never Again became Never Mind.
The people who still smell that day in their sleep are being told to sit down. The people who weren’t alive for it, or weren’t here for it, get to lecture them about “inclusion” at Ground Zero.
You don’t get to chant Never Forget for a generation and then act shocked when the families say this man does not belong at the ceremony.
New York didn’t just move on.
It elected the punchline.
