The pattern is hard to ignore. After a mother kills her children, postpartum depression is suddenly treated as the main story, as if a diagnosis can erase the bodies left behind.Mental illness is real. It is not a magic shield. Countless women suffer after birth and never harm their kids. Treating psychosis as a ready-made excuse cheapens both justice and the women who actually fight through it without taking lives. The children are the victims. A system that centers the feelings of the person who survived while three small lives are gone has lost its moral compass. Accountability still matters.
