53-year-old Ukrainian Olha Kapralova was abducted with her husband from occupied Melitopol in 2023.
For three months, they were held without legal status, a lawyer or contact with their family.
Electric shocks. Suffocation. Unknown injections. Beatings with a bag over her head. Threats against their children and grandchildren.
Her husband was tied to a chair and forced to listen as his wife was tortured. His teeth were knocked out. He was electrocuted too.
They were forced to sign “confessions” about planning chemical attacks and terrorist acts.
Now, in Rostov, a russian “court” is pretending this is a criminal case rather than torture.
This is not an exception.
This is the system.
