"I pushed her": Wisconsin caregiver Abrianna Clark gets 10 years after shoving a 76-year-old who later died from her broken hip.⠀Abrianna Clark, 28, of Milwaukee worked memory care at StoryPoint Senior Living in Mequon when she shoved Rebecca Siefert to the floor on November 7, 2024.⠀Staff heard Clark repeat "I pushed her" about five times after Siefert supposedly called her names and struck her with a ruler that broke her glasses.⠀Clark then told coworkers, "If anybody snitch on me, I'm going to get on that."⠀Siefert suffered a displaced femur fracture and had a rod placed at the hospital. She never walked again, lost 50 pounds over the following weeks, and died January 27, 2025 from "complication of left hip fracture."⠀A jury convicted Clark of second-degree reckless homicide and physical abuse of an elder. An Ozaukee County judge gave her 10 years in prison plus 10 years of extended supervision.⠀Judge Steven Cain told her, "This will not be tolerated in the community" and "The fact is you are concerned about you, not the victim."⠀A person close to Siefert said Clark "has painted herself as the victim and that’s disgusting" and showed "absolutely no accountability" when the verdict came down.⠀Families who place loved ones in care have every right to expect protection instead of retaliation when a resident acts out.#ElderAbuse #Wisconsin
