Three children never got another birthday because their mother ended their lives in the family home. Now her lawyers want the public to worry that she cannot emotionally handle a second trial. That plea treats the victims as an inconvenience instead of the reason this case exists. The evidence showed she sent her husband away and carried out the acts with purpose. Mental illness is real, but it does not automatically wipe away responsibility when three little kids are dead. Plenty of mothers suffer after childbirth and still protect their children.A deadlock is not a free pass. The system owes those children a verdict, not another round of sympathy for the adult who took everything from them. Accountability comes first.
