1. Be followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.
1 Corinthians 11:1; KJV.
We can summarize this part of Chapter 11: Christ is our pattern to imitate.
Our relationship with God is promoted by harmony, not our rank, or social status, or financial holdings.
Worship should reflect reverence, modesty, and unity.
Men and women are equal in worth but have different roles in the church.
Unity is more important than winning a personal argument.
Paul said, "Be followers of me." This word in Greek means "imitator," someone who copies a pattern. Paul imitates Christ; human examples are only helpful when they reflect Christ.
Choose role models whose lives genuinely point you toward Jesus.
The lesson: Follow Christ-centered examples.
Honor God's design for relationships.
Worship with humility and reverence.
Let your behavior reflect Christ.
Avoid arguments that distract from unity. Amen.
