The same person who screams that ICE is “ripping families apart” will turn around and applaud the woman on the other side of the panel.Think about that for a second. In one breath, she is hysterical over the idea that immigration enforcement is separating families, abandoning children, locking children up, or somehow destroying innocent lives. That is her entire moral argument. She says she is defending children. She says she is standing up for compassion. She says she is protecting the helpless. Then, in the very next breath, she is cheering for Lindsay Clancy, who admitted to killing her three very young children, Cora, Dawson, and 8 month old Callan. That is not a policy disagreement. That is a moral collapse.Whatever the courtroom eventually decides about legal responsibility, the reality of what happened is horrifying. Three children were strangled. Strangulation is not abstract. It is not quick. It is personal, physical, violent, and terrifying. And it happened three times.Yet some of the loudest voices online and outside the courthouse have tried to turn Clancy into some kind of martyr for postpartum suffering, as if the victims are a side note and the woman who killed them is the real symbol of compassion. That is sick. The hypocrisy is impossible to miss. They claim to be outraged over children being harmed in imaginary or wildly exaggerated ICE horror stories, then they emotionally rally around a woman whose own children are dead because of her actions. There are three little kids who will never grow up, never go to school, never laugh with their father, never live the lives God gave them. And somehow, the activists have made themselves the heroes of the story. They cannot see their own contradiction, and worse, they cannot seem to see the dead children standing in the middle of it.
