Madeline Daly, 36, admitted to the execution-style killing of her 11-month-old son, Basil Stoner, inside an RV near Silver City.The tragedy followed a long history of Daly allegedly hiding the child. After a Wyoming court granted the father shared custody in late 2025, Daly went on the run, allegedly texting the father that he would “never be a part of his child’s life.”On December 23, 2025, Grant County deputies tracked Daly to an RV park. As they attempted to negotiate, investigators say Daly pointed a 9 mm handgun at her son’s face and fired. Despite the father previously obtaining an emergency custody order, an Amber Alert was never issued because authorities reportedly claimed there was no evidence of “immediate danger.”Daly pleaded guilty as part of a plea agreement, though the judge has delayed sentencing to review the full details of this horrific case.
