THIS IS BARBARIC. Reports describing Endurance Sabon as a Christian teenager say suspected Islamist Fulani herdsmen demanded that her family give her to one of them in marriage. When the family refused, she was later mutilated in a machete attack.Endurance was just 15 years old when her family says the men approached them while they were working on a farm in Kaduna State, Nigeria, and demanded that she be handed over as a bride.Her family said NO.According to their account, the men later ambushed them, seized Endurance and attacked her so brutally with a machete that her hand had to be amputated.A Christian teenage girl was treated like property by men who believed they were entitled to take her as a wife, and when her family refused to surrender her, she paid for that refusal with part of her body. It is UNBELIEVABLE that this could happen anywhere in the world. She should be worrying about school, friends and her future. Instead, she is recovering from a brutal attack because her family refused to hand a 15-year-old girl over for a forced marriage.There is no cultural or religious excuse for this.Absolutely barbaric.
