Carter-Walters spent years shouting at Chicago City Council from the seats. She co-founded a group called Chicago Flips Red and turned up at meeting after meeting. She became a familiar face on Fox News. Now she wants the chair at the front of that room. Her platform promises a Chicago accountability office modelled on the federal cost-cutting drive. It also promises forensic audits and an end to the Welcoming City law, which is what makes Chicago a sanctuary city. The election is in 2027. She is running as an outsider against a field that already includes the sitting Illinois secretary of state. Sources: Block Club Chicago, US House Judiciary Committee
