Ribbon tailed Astrapia 32–35 cm
Endemic to western central highlands of Papua New Guinea
During the mating season the male grows 2 ribbon tail feathers 1 meter long.
Polygyny: The Flashy male mates with many females and leaves them to look after all the duties of providing for the chicks.
