John Thune says there may not be enough time to push voter ID and citizenship requirements through a standing filibuster.Thune:“I guess I would just remind people that the coin of the realm in the Senate is floor time. There’s a finite amount of it, and we have a lot of competing priorities.You got a housing bill, you got a farm bill, you got a highway bill. You can go right down the list. Russia, Ukraine, China, all the things that we have to deal with on the international stage.And so, if we get into a prolonged, unlimited debate and amendment process, that could tie this place up for a long time. And we have to make judgments about what we’re gonna do and the sequencing of our legislative priorities.”
