It is a warning sign that a substantial share of New Yorkers remain unconvinced by her record of high costs, soft-on-crime policies, and repeated scandals.Even with the advantage of incumbency and a favorable media environment, nearly half the electorate is already looking elsewhere. Utility bills keep climbing, public safety remains a daily concern, and the sense that Albany serves itself first has only grown. A governor who cannot lock down majority support under those conditions is vulnerable for a reason.New Yorkers who want lower costs, stronger enforcement, and leadership that treats taxpayers as the priority have a clear opening. The numbers show the door is open. Candidates who reject the failed status quo and deliver measurable results for citizens are positioned to walk through it.
