A 12-year-old standing before his school board to expose outside adults distributing hijabs, Qurans, and Sharia materials on campus shows more clarity than many administrators. Public schools are not open recruiting grounds for any religion.Allowing one faith to hand out doctrinal booklets and clothing to students creates an obvious double standard. The same schools that police other forms of religious expression suddenly find room for this activity.Parents send children to school for education, not for targeted outreach by external religious groups. Boards that permit it are failing the basic duty to keep classrooms neutral and free from outside ideological pressure.
