A BLIND HELEN KELLER SAID “ITS A TERRIBLE THING TO SEE AND HAVE NO VISION”.
Wednesday’s word: August 19, 2026…
Helen Keller was blind and yet did great works in her life. Someone asked her once what was the worst part of being blind.
She replied “It is a terrible thing to see and have no vision."
What a profound statement!!
Helen Adams Keller was an American author, activist, and lecturer who became a prominent advocate for people with disabilities. Born in Tuscumbia, Alabama, Keller lost her sight and hearing after an illness at 19 months old. With the help of her teacher, Anne Sullivan, Keller learned to read braille and communicate through manual lip reading. She graduated cum laude from Radcliffe College in 1904, becoming the first deaf-blind person to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree.
She died 3 weeks before her 88 birthday.
We need a vision Proverbs 29-18 says Where there is no vision people perish. If you once had a vision and have lost it, recapture your dream.
