That is where the war is actually being fought, and neither party is even facing that direction. A whole generation is walking toward the socialism banner, carrying signs that read can't make rent and still renting at 39. They are not marching because a professor tricked them. They are marching because the math of their lives is not working.This is not a scare story. A 2025 Cato and YouGov poll found that 62 percent of Americans aged 18 to 29 hold a favorable view of socialism. The tent is not just open, it is filling up. Zohran Mamdani, a proud DSA candidate, won a Democratic primary for mayor of New York City by running up the score with young voters.Here is the part both parties are missing.
