Sometimes the size of the need in front of us makes us forget the size of the God we are praying to.In Matthew 14, Jesus took five loaves and two fish, blessed them, fed thousands of people, and still had more left over. That was not a lesson in wishful thinking. It was a reminder that Christ is not limited by what looks possible to us.Jesus is our provider, and He provides abundantly.That does not mean every Christian is promised wealth, comfort, or a winning lottery ticket. This is not prosperity gospel. It is something much deeper. God gives grace when we are empty, mercy when we have failed, strength when we are exhausted, wisdom when we do not know what to do, and provision when we cannot see a way forward.Too often we bring God our needs after we have already decided what He can and cannot do. We shrink the prayer to fit our circumstances. We ask for just enough. We prepare ourselves for disappointment. We forget that the God who created the universe is not intimidated by the mountain standing in front of us.So ask boldly.Ask for the healing that seems impossible. Ask for the new job. Ask for the restored marriage. Ask for the door to open. Ask for the financial provision. Ask for the miracle.Then trust Him with the answer.God is not a vending machine, and faith is not a formula for getting everything we want. But He is a Father who loves His children, hears their prayers, and is able to do far more than we can ask or imagine.The miracle of the loaves and fish reminds us that scarcity is never the final word when Jesus is present.Whatever you are carrying today, bring it to Him. Bring the whole need. Pray the big prayer. Trust His wisdom, His timing, and His abundance.
