Our justice system must apply equally whether the incident happens on a basketball floor or anywhere else. Excusing it because it occurred during a game undermines the rule of law and sends the wrong message to young athletes watching.Accountability matters. Charging Carrington would reaffirm that no one is above basic standards of conduct, protecting the integrity of the sport and ensuring players can compete without fear of being blindsided by intentional harm.
