•”THE LAMB YOU KEEP PLAYING WITH TODAY WILL BE THE JUDGE YOU STAND BEFORE TOMORROW.”•By William WinfieldRead the title again.People love Jesus the Lamb.Jesus the healer.Jesus the forgiver.Jesus the merciful.Jesus who ate with sinners.But Scripture doesn’t end with Jesus hanging on a cross.The Lamb is also Judge.Let’s study the Scriptures.Jesus said:“The Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son.” (John 5:22)That’s Jesus speaking.The same Christ who offered Himself for sinners…Will judge humanity.Paul says God:“Has fixed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom He has appointed.” (Acts 17:31)And how did God authenticate Him?By raising Jesus from the dead.Can I go deeper?Revelation gives us an image many churches rarely preach.People cry out:“Hide us from the face of Him who is seated on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb.” (Revelation 6:16)Wait…The wrath of the LAMB?Yes.Because His meekness does not cancel His holiness.His mercy doesn’t eliminate His justice.His love doesn’t mean He approves of wickedness.Jesus isn’t a passive Savior who eternally overlooks rebellion.He is King.And Kings judge.Can I say something boldly?Some people have created a version of Jesus who never confronts anything.Their Jesus never judges.Never commands repentance.Never calls anything sin.Never demands obedience.That’s not the Jesus of Scripture.Jesus told the woman caught in adultery:“Neither do I condemn you.”But He also told her:“Go, and from now on sin no more.” (John 8:11)That’s grace AND truth.Can I go deeper?Revelation gives a sobering warning:“But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur…” (Revelation 21:8)Notice “sorcerers.”The Greek word is pharmakoi (φαρμακοῖς), related to pharmakeia, referring in this context to sorcery or magical/occult practices.Scripture does not treat divination as harmless spirituality.God explicitly prohibited divination, fortune-telling, sorcery, mediums, and attempts to consult the dead. (Deuteronomy 18:10–12)So yes…Horoscopes.Psychics.Tarot.Mediums.Divination.Occult practices.Trying to communicate with the dead.Christians cannot baptize these things with words like:“energy,” “manifestation,” “the universe,” or “spirituality”and pretend God suddenly approves.But hear this carefully:The warning of Revelation isn’t:“If you’ve ever practiced these sins, you’re beyond salvation.”That’s not the Gospel.Paul reminds the Corinthians after listing serious sins:“And such were some of you.” (1 Corinthians 6:11)WERE.That’s the power of Jesus.The sexually immoral can repent.The idolater can repent.The occult practitioner can repent.The liar can repent.The addict can repent.The rebellious can repent.The blood of Jesus is powerful enough to cleanse sinners.But grace isn’t permission to continue practicing what Christ died to save you from.Can I say something that may convict you?Some people want Jesus as Savior…But reject Jesus as Lord.They want His blood…Without His authority.His forgiveness…Without repentance.His Heaven…Without His holiness.But Scripture doesn’t give us that Jesus.The Lamb who was slain is also:“King of kings and Lord of lords.” (Revelation 19:16)And one day…Every platform disappears.Every title disappears.Every excuse disappears.Every secret becomes known.Every false spirituality is exposed.Every knee bows.And Jesus Christ judges righteously.So don’t wait until judgment to discover that Jesus wasn’t merely someone to admire.He was Lord all along.Today the invitation is still open:Repent.Turn from wickedness.Leave divination.Leave idolatry.Leave rebellion.Come to Christ.Because the message isn’t merely:“Judgment is coming.”The Gospel announces something even greater:THE JUDGE HIMSELF DIED TO SAVE THE GUILTY.The Lamb shed His blood.The tomb is empty.Mercy is available.But don’t mistake God’s patience for God’s approval.The Lamb is returning.And when He does…Jesus will not be standing trial before humanity.Humanity will be standing before Him.#Jesus #Bible #Judgment #Repentance #PreachWill #Christian
