Government insiders secretly working to sabotage an elected president's agenda.No, really. That's her worry now."There's going to be so much to fix," Clinton said. "First, get rid of all of the holdovers. Do not let anybody hang around in some small office somewhere who can literally subvert your program, and you don't even know that person's there."She went on to warn that Trump officials might "move people from political appointments to so-called civil service appointments," and that Democrats will "have to be really searching to make sure that they are not going to be literally subverted from within the government."Where, oh where, would anyone get the idea that unelected bureaucrats buried deep in the federal government could subvert a president from within?Maybe from the Obama holdovers at the FBI and CIA who spent President Trump's entire first term working against him. Maybe from the Russia collusion hoax, cooked up with a Steele dossier that her own campaign paid for. Maybe from the Ukraine phone call "whistleblower" that launched an impeachment. Maybe from the endless parade of anonymous "resistance" officials bragging in the New York Times about thwarting the man Americans elected.For eight years, we were told the "deep state" was a paranoid conspiracy theory. Career civil servants were selfless angels, and anyone who suggested they might have a political agenda was attacked as a threat to democracy.Now Hillary Clinton goes on a podcast and describes the deep state playbook, step by step, as something Democrats need to guard against. She is warning her own party about the exact tactic her allies perfected against Trump.The lady isn't blowing the whistle on a conspiracy theory. She's confirming one.They only call it a threat to democracy when it happens to them. When it happened to Trump, they called it "protecting our institutions."Thanks for finally admitting it, Hillary.
