1. There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8:1; KJV. Paul, through his own experience of salvation, is assuring all believers that they are free from guilt or punishment. But a decision has been made to follow Christ. Christ has paid our debt on the Cross. And we must deny the flesh, which wars against God and everything good, ending in spiritual death. Following the Spirit of God leads us into every spiritual blessing, peace with God, and eternal life. If Christ is in us, we are dead to sin, and the Spirit leads us into righteousness. Those who please the flesh deny God and cannot please Him. Verse 12: We owe Christ; no one can do for our soul what Christ accomplished. And if we continue to live in sin, we prove that we have no idea what it cost Christ to redeem our soul. The lesson: Salvation is not just about you going to heaven; everything created by Christ will be renewed, free from decay and corruption. A new Heaven and a new earth. Amen.
