On Friday's "Real Time," Maher torched the far left in a way no Republican could get away with:"I'm just going to say it, since the far left, the far, far left, is overwhelmingly made up of affluent, ultra-woke white people, you raised your kids wrong. You told your precious brats that every brain fart was genius, and now those brain farts are becoming Democratic Party policy."His Exhibit A? Francesca Hong, the Democratic state representative from Madison now running for governor of Wisconsin, who says her "perfect world would be a world without prisons, because we all see the humanity in one another."Maher's response: "Well, murder victims are." Disposable, that is.He even quoted Democrat legend James Carville: "There's just some sh*t I can't be in the same tent with. I'm done. I'm not in that political party." Gavin Newsom says it's fine, the party is a big tent. Maher: "You know what else you find in a tent? Clowns."Here's the thing. Maher is right. And it will not matter one bit.Watch what happens next. He will be dismissed as old school. Worse, just plain old. A boomer who "doesn't get it."Because the young wing of the party does not want a course correction. They want socialism. Life is unfair, they are entitled, and if somebody else has more, well, that is just proof of the crime. So tax the rich, redistribute the wealth, and make everything "equal."What they have not figured out is what every socialist experiment from Venezuela to the Soviet Union figured out the hard way. The only equality socialism ever delivers is equal poverty. Except, of course, for the government.The state takes the money from the rich. The poor never see it. That is how it works. Every time.The rich lose their fortunes or simply leave. Then the bill lands on the middle class, which gets taxed into the dirt to pay for everyone's "free stuff." And when there is nobody left to tax, everybody stands in the breadline together.Everybody except the people running the government. Funny how that part never makes it into the campaign speech.
