Four brothers were settling in for a beach day at Portmarnock Beach near Dublin when they saw a 6 year old girl drifting out to sea on an inflatable raft. Her father was already in the water trying to reach her, but no lifeguards were around.Eoghan Butler, 18, his twin brother Declan Butler, 18, their older brother Walter Butler, 21, and brother-in-law Alex Thomson, 24, sprinted into the water and swam for almost an hour to reach the girl and bring her and her father safely back to shore.The family, from the Washington DC area, had traveled to Ireland to honor their late grandfather, Walter John Butler, who had recently passed away at 84.
