8. But God commended his love toward us, in that, while we were sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8; KJV.
The richness of the love of God in Romans 5, Adam who sinned and brought death to mankind, is compared to Christ, who by His sacrifice, purchased our pardon and eternal life.
Therefore, we who believe have peace with God; we have hope and grace.
Having favor with God through Christ and His blood, we avoid the wrath to come on the ungodly, the enemies of God, which we were in the past.
Now we can rejoice in Christ, receiving forgiveness and atonement.
Adam brought death; Christ brought grace and life.
Christ's work is greater than Adam's sin.
The lesson: Christ gave us peace with Almighty God.
We stand in grace, not guilt.
Christ died for us at our very worst.
Christ has secured our salvation by His sacrifice.
The grace of Christ is more powerful than sin. Amen.
