11. For there is no respect of persons with God.Romans 2:11; KJV. Paul explains that God is fair and just, showing no favoritism; everyone is judged at the last by the same standards. For the Jews and the law of Moses, if they broke the law, the priest would instruct them on what sacrifice was necessary. The blood of animals cannot blot out the judgment of sin. And the law, having no mercy, deems you guilty or innocent. The only man who ever kept the law 100 percent was Jesus; that's why His sacrifice of His life is the only acceptable payment for the debt of sin. Jew or Gentile, without Christ's covering of righteousness in His blood, there is no entrance into heaven. Those who refuse Christ refuse Almighty God the Father's plan of salvation. If you do not have the Son, you do not have the Father. Paul goes further, saying some Gentiles, not having the law, are ruled by an inner compass of morality that God has placed in every individual; that's why you know when you do wrong. But even if you live a good life, but refuse Christ, you have lost eternal life and the eternal peace that goes with it. The lesson: God is perfect and judges fairly. Knowledge of God and His word is not enough; it must be lived daily. Jesus is the final Judge. Everyone needs Jesus, Jews and Gentiles, for all have sinned, and only the blood of Jesus can cover our sin, our shame, our guilt. Amen.
