On September 11, 2001, Howard Lutnick survived because he was taking his son to kindergarten instead of being at his office in the North Tower. Cantor Fitzgerald lost 658 employees that day, including Lutnick brother and close friend.
To honor them, Lutnick helped support the victims’ families by sharing company profits, providing healthcare, and offering jobs to their children. The company’s annual Charity Day continues to keep their memory alive by raising money for good causes
