I'm so old I had a "pager", no display what so ever. When it went off there was only one number to call...the office. And yes, pay phone were the thing, kept change in the truck for that very reason, well, that and tolls...#fieldengineer #micrographics

You're not old unless you had to wait for your neighbor to hang up THEIR phone so that you could use YOUR OWN phone. It was called a "party line," and neighbors shared telephone lines even though they had separate phone numbers. Been there, lived that!
