•A Prayer to Help You Persevere•By Anthony Valente👉 Brothers and sisters, as an example of patience in the face of suffering, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. As you know, we count as blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job’s perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy.(James 5:10-11)James knows it’s hard to wait and encourages us with examples of the Old Testament prophets in James 5 verses 10-11. These prophets were real people, just like you and me, putting their lives on the line in God’s name. They delivered messages containing warnings from God and as a result, these prophets were ostracized and persecuted. And yet, these men persevered and were counted as blessed. And then James gives them the example of Job. Job was a very wealthy man. He endured incredible hardship. He lost his property, his children, and his health. And despite all of this, Job never lost his faith in God. Now, he did struggle. He did question God. But he never quit believing. And because of it, scripture says that God blessed his latter days more than his beginning. My friend, there may be a day when you think God has forgotten you. But the truth is when you continue to stand strong through the storm and through the doubts, you will come out stronger on the other side of this storm and you will see that the Lord is full of compassion and mercy.Your simple truth for today: Persevere through times of suffering. And just like Job, continue to stand strong even in the midst of doubt and sadness and disaster, and you will come through this even stronger and more blessed than you were before. Let us pray.✝️ Dear Heavenly Father,Thank You for Your mercy. Forgive me for those times when I feel like giving up. Your Word tells me I should “press on toward the goal to win the prize” for which You called me. (Philippians 3:14) But sometimes I get discouraged when I don’t feel like I’m making a difference. I know discouragement is not from You. Every good and perfect gift comes from You, and that includes the ability to persevere. Lord, it seems like I’ve been praying for a long time without an answer. Sometimes I wonder whether or not You hear my prayers. Doubt and frustration make me want to quit when I don’t see a breakthrough in my situation, but You offer hope. As I draw closer to You, You, in turn, draw close to me. (James 4:8) Thank You for this promise. Your Word says You “reward those who earnestly seek You.” (Hebrews 11:6) Because of this, I know You are with me, giving me the strength and determination I need to keep moving forward. Help me remember this truth from Scripture when my thoughts take a negative turn. I may not see the fruit of my prayers right now, but You are working. Even when I don’t see it. Lord, the love of Your son Jesus Christ is all I need. Help me remember that, and not get sidetracked with the challenges of this world. Your strength and guidance will help me overcome any obstacle. The desire to share Jesus’ love with others will inspire me to persevere when I’m tempted to quit. Thank You for unfailing love and unending patience as I learn the power of perseverance. I trust and love You, Lord.In Jesus’ Name,AMEN 🙏 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.(Galatians 6:9)Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always.(1 Chronicles 16:11)Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.(Philippians 3:13-14)Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.(Romans 5:3-5)You will be hated by everyone because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.(Matthew 10:22)Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.(James 4:8)Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.(James 1:2-4)But the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.(Matthew 24:13)And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.(Philippians 1:6)Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown.(Revelation 2:10)Teach me your ways, O LORD, that I may live according to your truth! Grant me purity of heart, so that I may honor you.(Psalm 86:11)“I know all the things you do. I have seen your hard work and your patient endurance. I know you don’t tolerate evil people. You have examined the claims of those who say they are apostles but are not. You have discovered they are liars. You have patiently suffered for me without quitting.(Revelation 2:2-3)Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you. Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways.(Proverbs 4:25-26)Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.(1 Corinthians 15:58)Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.(Romans 12:12)No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.(Romans 8:37-39)And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.(Hebrews 11:6)“I cry out to you, God, but you do not answer; I stand up, but you merely look at me. You turn on me ruthlessly; with the might of your hand you attack me. You snatch me up and drive me before the wind; you toss me about in the storm. I know you will bring me down to death, to the place appointed for all the living. "Surely no one lays a hand on a broken man when he cries for help in his distress. Have I not wept for those in trouble? Has not my soul grieved for the poor? Yet when I hoped for good, evil came; when I looked for light, then came darkness. The churning inside me never stops; days of suffering confront me. I go about blackened, but not by the sun; I stand up in the assembly and cry for help.(Job 30:20-28)“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.(Matthew 5:14-16)(pic verse)“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.(Matthew 7:13-14)Artist 👨🎨 I Am With You Always - David Delfeld
