1. After these things Paul departed from Athens, and came to Corinth;
Acts 18:1; KJV.
Paul entered Corinth and stayed with a converted Jew named Aquila because they were both tentmakers by trade.
Serving God, does not mean you avoid work.
Paul reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath, and many Jews and Greeks were converted to Christ.
Then the Lord spoke by a vision at night, saying, "Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace:
For I am with thee, and no man shall hurt thee."
And Paul taught the word of God in Corinth for a year and a half.
Paul was successful because God protected him.
Here are the lessons learned: Work and ministry go hand in hand.
God gives direction to those who serve.
God has people prepared before you arrive.
Long-term teaching builds strong believers. Amen.
