A tiny hummingbird chose one of the most luxurious places imaginable to build her nest.Right on the door handle of a Ritz-Carlton hotel.The nest was small enough to fit in the palm of a hand.But once the hotel staff discovered it, they made a big decision.They closed the entire entrance.Instead of removing the nest or disturbing the bird, the hotel blocked off the doorway and redirected guests to another entrance.Then they placed a simple sign beside it:“Nature in Progress.”For weeks, guests walked around.Staff protected the area.And one of the hotel’s grand entrances belonged entirely to one tiny mother.No one rushed her.No one moved her home.No one decided that convenience mattered more than her safety.In a place built around luxury and service, one of the most beautiful gestures had nothing to do with money.It was simply giving a tiny bird the time and space she needed.Sometimes kindness means doing something extraordinary.And sometimes it just means leaving a little nest exactly where it is. 🐦🌿
