The phrase "dinner on ground" originated from rural Southern Appalachian churches ⛪️ having a massive community potluck after Sunday services. Everybody brought their best dish and you learned quick who's fried chicken to make a beeline for and who's deviled eggs disappeared first . And nobody left hungry or unloved
