The Washington Monument Illumination is returning to the National Mall July 1–5 as part of America's 250th anniversary celebration. Each night, visitors can experience an 18-minute projection-mapping show that brings 250 years of American history to life before the Monument transforms into a giant birthday candle. The free public display runs nightly from 9:00 p.m. to 12:20 a.m., with the best viewing locations on the National Mall.
