That is why many of you are sick and weak, and several have died. — 1 Corinthians 11:28-30 GNT Today's Prayer Lord, help me to look at my life and examine my motives and focus before I take communion. Forgive me for being so frivolous and unfocused during the Lord’s Supper at times in the past. Give me a fresh set of eyes to see clearly the meaning of Jesus' body in the future. I don’t want to bring judgment on myself by partaking of it in an unworthy manner, Lord. Please help me to think about the meaning the Lord's body means — both His body on the cross and His Body, the people of His church, with whom I share the Lord's Supper. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
