President Trump delivered his speech to a joint Congress and it was hailed as his best yet. The Republican side gave him plenty of standing ovations, while the Democrats for the most part refused to stand or even applaud. We all know the Democrat party is unified in their hatred for Trump, but they could have least shown some decorum and respect for our Republic and its institutions. Instead they behaved like petulant brats who no longer have access to their cookie jar of corruption. They sat zombie like, staring into space, seething in their hatred of President Trump.
The cane-wielding Representative Al Green loudly interrupted Trump’s speech several times and Speaker Johnson was forced to ask for his removal—and he was removed— but he now needs to be prosecuted for disrupting an official proceeding. Green should be removed from office because there is a law that prohibits what he did and he broke it. The Republicans will likely do nothing, though—they are the ‘nice guy’ party whereas the Democrats always play hardball. If Trump had done what Green had done, the Dems would most likely be starting impeachment proceedings and having him fingerprinted right now.
The Democrats are doubling down on stupidity. They were used to having power for a long time and they thoroughly abused their power. Now that they’ve lost it they’re also losing their minds.
They held up round protest signs, “FALSE,” “SAVE MEDICAID,” and “MUSK STEALS.” (Musk is putting an end to the Democrats’ government cash cows, and they interpret that as theft). Another Democrat brought along a miniature white board to rebuke the president in real time. She wrote messages on it such as “That’s a lie!” and held it up. Apparently she could not wait for her party’s rebuttal, given by Michigan Senator Elissa Slotkin. She called Trump’s policies ‘reckless’ and said he wanted to give tax breaks to billionaires—a usual talking point among Democrats, but it’s also a lie. Trump said he wanted to end taxes on tips and overtime as well as no more taxes on Social Security, on which many seniors depend. Maybe Slotkin considers those things ‘reckless,’ too.
When Trump entered the chamber and was shaking hands, a grim-faced Congresswoman held up a piece of paper behind Trump’s head that read, “This is not normal!” Wrong. It’s perfectly normal—Trump won the election by normal means and that’s why he’s president today. What’s not normal is an egregious display of contempt from the Democrats. They refused to applaud when Trump said the Panama Canal has been returned to America, they refused to applaud when Trump announced a possible end to the Ukraine war, and the refused to applaud the securing of our border, the end to men in women’s sports, the deportation of violent criminals, and many other positive developments.
They even refused to applaud and stand for people such as a boy who has endured years of brain cancer. The kid wanted to become a police officer and was loved by the law enforcement community. Trump announced an honorary secret service ID and badge for the kid. Touching stuff, the Democrats remain untouchable. It shows just how mean-spirited, mentally ill, and out of line the Democrat Party has become. When Trump admonished “Pocahontas” (Senator Elizabeth Warren), for supporting more war in Ukraine, the senator put on an expression of defiant, wide-eyed determination and began loudly clapping for 20 seconds. Again, more proof of spoiled Democrats doubling down on stupid.
Trump called for the ‘renewal of the American Dream,’ but Democrats want to continue the nightmare exemplified by the warped policies of Obama, Joe Biden, DEI, and woke-ism. We hope voters are noticing this and vote out more Democrats during the midterms.
