A 13 year old accomplished what the courts couldn’t. Proof that 13 years old is not too young to learn about guns. You just have to be taught by someone who's not a thug that's going to teach you how to use it to rob people! Evidently this kid was taught right! And it saved his life most likely! Good job mom!A 13-year-old boy was home alone in South Carolina when two men tried breaking into his family's house north of North Charleston.He picked up his mother's gun, positioned himself by the back door, and fired when he heard them coming. One of the men shot back, but the boy hit him several times.The injured man, 31-year-old Lamar Brown, was driven away by the other suspect but later died from his wounds. Brown had a prior record that included multiple felony drug charges.The second man, also 31-year-old Ira Bennett, ran off but was soon caught. He's now facing charges for first-degree burglary and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.His mother shared with reporters that she had taught her children to call 911 first, but also to defend themselves if they had to. “I never would have dreamed that this would have been a part of our day today,” she said.
