In America, we have two political parties, and right now it is hard to find anyone in Washington worth rooting for.Republicans tell voters they are the only thing standing between the country and the left. Then they get power and still act like helpless spectators. Democrats scream about compassion, democracy, fairness, and norms, then turn around and do what everyone expects, grow government, protect the bureaucracy, and lecture the people paying the bills. The midterms are coming fast, and voters should ask one simple question, what exactly has this Republican Congress done with the power it was given?Trump has signed a mountain of executive orders, but executive orders are not permanent law. They can be challenged in court, limited by Congress, or erased by the next president. That is why Congress matters. That is why codifying the agenda matters. Yet Republicans keep talking like warriors while governing like they are afraid of their own shadow. They have lived through two historic shutdown fights in Trump's second term. Washington always finds a way to blame the other side, but Americans are tired of the excuses. The Democrats are just being Democrats, reckless, radical, and politically disgusting. Nobody should be shocked by that anymore. The real frustration is with Republicans who campaign like fighters, raise money like fighters, talk on television like fighters, then get to Washington and produce almost nothing permanent.People are not laughing at this meme because they think corruption is funny. They are laughing because it feels true. The bottom line, if Republicans want voters to show up in November, they had better stop acting like a do nothing party with better talking points.Sources: Congressional Budget Office, Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, Federal Register, U.S. Senate, House Press Gallery, Speaker Mike Johnson’s office
