Did you know the biblical figure, Job (Iyov), was not a Hebrew? We don’t know when exactly he lived - some say around the time of Abraham, others say around the time of Moses. The story of Gentile Job is so important, that an entire book in the Jewish scriptures is dedicated to him - 42 chapters. Our sages say it is because: “There was no one more righteous than Job amongst the nations of the world.” (Midrash).
