This isn’t new. In 1941, Grand Mufti Haj Amin al-Husseini, then the leading Palestinian Arab political and religious figure, met Hitler in Berlin. See the attached photo taken during that meeting. He broadcast Nazi propaganda calling for the destruction of Jewish settlements in Palestine, opposed Jewish refugees escaping Europe, and helped recruit Muslims to join elite Waffen-SS units, who served as death squads.
Hamas’s 1988 charter echoes the same eliminationist antisemitism rhetoric shared with 1930s Goebbels and German Nazi propaganda.
