DEBATE GROWS OVER THE KIRPAN 🚨 Some Sikh community leaders have warned that any move to ban the Kirpan could have serious consequences for the Sikh community in Britain. They argue that the Kirpan is a deeply important article of faith and that restricting it would be seen by many Sikhs as an attack on their religious freedom. A knife is still a knife no matter what you call it and it doesn’t become safe because it’s called a ceremonial knife either. No other members of the public are permitted to carry knife’s so why should Sikhs be allowed to. BAN the KIRPAN!
