The question is as simple as it is devastating: if immigrants truly make America great, why do their home countries remain mired in poverty, corruption, and violence? Millions leave behind nations plagued by failed governance, yet many demand the same policies and cultural norms that wrecked those places upon arrival. America’s exceptionalism was built by people who assimilated into our values, language, and laws—not by those who recreate the dysfunction they fled.
Decades of unchecked mass immigration have strained housing, schools, hospitals, and wages for American citizens while exporting billions in remittances back to the very countries that drove people away. Instead of demanding we absorb the world’s problems, we should insist that nations fix themselves. Open borders and sanctuary policies reward failure abroad and punish success at home, turning the greatest nation on Earth into a pressure release valve for global incompetence.
It’s time to put American citizens first. Secure the border, enforce our laws, and prioritize legal immigration that benefits our country—not endless waves that dilute our sovereignty and culture. True compassion means expecting people to build better lives where they are, not demanding America become the welfare office for the world. Our republic’s survival depends on remembering this fundamental truth.
