I’m sitting on the front porch in my rocker. Drinking my Maxwell house Coffee, looking at the beautiful sunshine, and the quiet here in the holler.Trying to comprehend in my mind, what the men and women did just so that I could enjoy a day like today .In 1942 they invaded Normandy knowing there was a possibility that they would never return home. However, they loved our country enough to go somewhere they had never been on foreign soil to pay the ultimate sacrifice. As the temperature today reaches the mid 80s and sunshine, possibly a perfect day think about them and remember that only the price Jesus paid for salvation but the price they paid for freedom.
