Now, the Strawberries
A farmer was selling strawberries door to door in Johnson City, Tennessee, and he went up to a nice house and knocked on the door.
A pretty woman came to the door, and he asked her if she would like to buy some strawberries.
“Come around to the back door,” she said.
So he went around to the back door, and the woman opened it and was standing there with nothing on.
The man began to sniffle and then to sob.
“Why, what on earth is the matter?” she asked.
“Well,” he said, “it’s been a hard year. My mule died, and I didn’t hardly raise any crops. My barn burned down, my cow went dry, my wife ran off with a fertilizer salesman, and now I can see that I’m about to be snookered out of my strawberries!”
