These two deserve a standing ovation.Six out of nine artists pulled out of the Freedom 250 Great American State Fair within 48 hours of the lineup being announced. The event on the National Mall was built to celebrate America's 250th birthday, and it is free and open to the public. But one by one, artists walked away, saying they were misled about the nature of the celebration.Vanilla Ice did not flinch. He posted a video saying he is "proud and honored" to perform and that music has no political rules. He said if Joe Biden called and asked him to play his daughter's wedding, he would show up for that too. He said "We are all one. This is not a political platform. This is celebrating America's birthday."Flo Rida did not say a word. When someone asked him why he was performing, he responded with laughing emojis and kept it moving. Two artists from two completely different eras standing on the same stage for the same reason. They just want to celebrate this country's birthday and give people a good time. That should not be controversial, but somehow it is.
