Nickelodeon put a drag queen in Blue’s Clues — a preschool show made for toddlers.A fully made-up drag queen in a bright costume stood in front of a giant rainbow Pride flag, pointing directly at the camera on a children’s network.This wasn’t late-night programming.This wasn’t aimed at adults.This was content placed inside a show made for very young children.Parents have every right to ask why adult political and cultural messaging is being pushed into programming for toddlers and preschoolers.Kids deserve real children’s entertainment — not activism dressed up as a cartoon segment.
