Eric Swalwell was kicked off the House Intelligence Committee by Speaker McCarthy specifically because of his ties to Chinese spy Fang Fang. He was never charged, never censured by his caucus, and to this day collects a Congressional pension funded by American taxpayers. New legislation moving through committee would automatically strip any former member's pension if they're linked to foreign intelligence services.
