WHACK-A-MULLAH Cartoon published 05/27/2026 There are around 200,000 mullahs in Iran—and they all want to control the minds of 90 million citizens. After the Shah was deposed, they’ve had nearly 50 years to accomplish just that. They’ve convinced most of those citizens not by logic, reason, or even religious inspiration, but rather by the threat of violent force. Earlier this year, more than 42,000 protesters were brutally murdered by the IRGC and theocratic leaders. The leaders in Iran, though fragmented, are ruthless and determined to maintain power. Perhaps they know if the lose their power, they will also lose their lives. President Trump is dealing with a decentralized Iran, but they are still dangerous and they’ve been rebuilding their military capabilities. One thing is certain—they do not want to hand over their ‘nuclear dust’ as Trump put it—and they are acting as if they’ve won the war. The on-again off-again peace hopes have become more and more frustrating. Trump’s only choice may be more military action, but if more leaders are eliminated, others will spring up to take their place. Defeating Iran is not an easy accomplishment—as Iraq found out in their nearly 8-year war against the Persian country. Both nations lost millions and became exhausted. There was no clear winner, and a ceasefire was enforced by the UN. It’s not likely Trump will accept conditions that allow Iran to keep enriched uranium for a nuclear bomb. Iran’s leaders have repeatedly shouted “Death To America!” and “Death To Israel!” for years. The religious fanatics that run Iran should be taken at their word. Iran cannot be allowed to have nuclear weapons material, nor can the president allow the war to drag on indefinitely. Will peace come to the Middle East? Time will tell. — The GrrrTeam
