12. Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world:John 8:12. Jesus, teaching the crowd, said, "I am the Light of the world."Meaning, all who follow and obey Me are not in darkness, not knowing God, but are shown who God is, His truth, His knowledge about you and your life. Light and darkness cannot share the same space. You are either in the Light or covered in darkness. Jesus is saying, "With Me, you will not just see the Light, you will be in the Light." Being in the Light removes confusion over what is right and what is wrong. Being in the Light frees all who are lost in sin. Being in the Light, you know God and have a relationship with Him. Being in the Light, you are guaranteed eternal life. You will have Christ and Christ's truth, and the Spirit will guide you in being transformed into Christ's image. The Pharisees claim Jesus' teaching is not true. Jesus responds that His teaching comes from the Father and it is true. He is going to return to the Father, and the Pharisees will have no idea where He went. Trust Jesus. He died so you could be with Him in heaven. He cannot lie; it is impossible for God to lie and remain holy. That's the difference: our God is Holy and Eternal. Just believe and obey. Amen.
