33. For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.
John 6:33.
Jesus feeds over 5,000 people; they follow Him across the sea.
Jesus tells them, "You seek Me because you ate of the bread and were filled."
Jesus teaches, "Seek the eternal things of God, and God will supply the earthly things you need."
The crowd says, "What do we have to do?" The crowd is thinking in terms of performance, rules, actions, and tasks.
Jesus says, "Believe in Me, whom God has sent; trust deeper." You cannot read the Bible enough or pray enough; nothing you do can save your soul only Jesus, the Son of the Living God.
Jesus is the gift of God to the world, not to one nation, but to anyone who believes.
Jesus continues, "I am what your soul is starving for; I created it, and I know what it needs."
All Jesus did, every miracle, did not convince the people to believe and have faith.
Jesus continues, "All who believe in Me, no matter their past, I will never reject."
For this reason, the Father sent Me: to save mankind from their sins.
Believe, and you will take part in the resurrection, you will not be a spirit floating around, you will raise up in a new body that will last forever. Thank you Jesus. Amen.
