A Wisconsin stepmother accused of horrific child abuse has entered a no-contest plea in court.Melissa Goodman, 52, is charged with chronically neglecting and starving her 14-year-old autistic stepdaughter, who was found weighing just 35 pounds after being locked in a room for years without proper food or water.The girl was discovered in critical condition with multi-organ failure in August 2025. Goodman now faces up to 46 years behind bars. Sentencing is scheduled for July 1.Her husband, adult daughter, and the daughter’s girlfriend also face charges in the case.The disturbing details have shocked many across the country.
