Back in 1964 a writer & producer named Gene Roddenberry was trying to sell a pilot for his TV show, "Star Trek" He got turned down several times but someone eventually believed in him, a pretty savvy businesswoman. She bought the rights and produced it under her own production company. Her name was Lucille Ball!
